I've been training and coaching the youth in basketball for 8 years and have been blessed to be around amazing families. I have my own training business called, Wada Life, and have coached all levels of basketball from elementary to college. I'm currently the assistant coach at McClatchy High School, my alma mater and a JR. NBA coach for the Sacramento Kings. Being a basketball trainer and an artist has given me opportunities to inspire the youth in many ways as well as, introducing art to many of my athletes, especially during the pandemic. My artistic vision has allowed me to become very observant with movement and detail when teaching dynamics and techniques on the court. Being an artist, I’m always challenging myself as I'm constantly working through mistakes. I’m always figuring out what technique “works”. While training the youth, I’m always figuring out what technique works for them, how to communicate, or how to demonstrate so that they can respond and understand.
"Not every shape will respond to a color, and not every kid will respond to the same drill."
Be creative. Figure it out.
Work through the challenge.
