Artist Statement

              Art is who I am. I am picky. I am particular. I am persistent. I am a perfectionist. The more I create, the more I evolve as an individual. I find excitement through making mistakes, motivation through failing, and energy from never being satisfied. It’s a beautiful challenge to constantly go through uncomfortable waves of emotions when creating a piece.  Sometimes, it puts me in positions to take risks and gives me no other choice than to be fearless. Sometimes, I put in so much effort only to end up feeling disappointed, but that’s the exhilarating part about growth. My canvas is my story and I’m thankful that it gives me the opportunity to be authentic and proud throughout every process. 

                My purpose on canvas is to attract the audience with detail. I want to create an experience for my peers through the beauty of elements such as, texture, lines, shapes, color, and form. I heavily focus on movement, composition, balance, and rhythm which convinces the eye to wander and analyze throughout the canvas.
